This is my Christmas Countdown.  For my Christmas Countdown I did a peace of Coloring.  I colored in a tree, I tried hard and I also aimed to get an overflowing honey jar I rate my Christmas Countdown 10/10 because I tried really hard and I worked on it for 2 days.

Whetu Survivor Celebration

Survivor  Calibration

In the past couple of weeks we have been doing  survivor challenges. We did heaps of cool things but now it has ended so we did a celebration for it and we got to cook some food and light a flint. We also got to do Orienteering. The hardest thing for me was looking for the clues and words for the Orienteering because you had to be quick and you also had to guess the word. The Funnest thing for me was making the food because you got to make a banana split and stuffed potato. I rate the food 9/10 because it tasted really nice but I didn't really like the marshmallows.

  Stop as soon as you realize your lost.

Think about the situation .

Observe their surrounding.

Plan what to do.

Finding Fresh water

 1.You will want to dig somewhere damp and you will want to dig about 4 meters deep.

2. Make sure that your water is nice and clean so that you wont get sick.

3 You will want to find somewhere hot and sunny because the heat  and the sun will kill the bugs.

Shelter

 1. You will want to build away from rivers and creaks.

2. Make sure your shelter protects you from the wind and rain.

3. You will want to build somewhere dry and flat.

Fire

1. For your fire you will want to make sure it is really small so that it doesn't catch grass or branches on fire.

2. Make sure you are in a place where there is not much wind.

3. Make sure that there is something blocking your fire so that it doesn't spreed.

Basic First Aid

What you will need.

1. You will want to make sure you have a bandages so that if someone sprains there ankle you can rap the Bandage on it.

2. Make sure you have a Chemical Cold Pack to ice your sour body parts. 

3.  You will want to make sure you have antibiotic Cream to help your sours. 

Signalling For Help

1. You could send out a smoke signal to get help.

2. You could reflect light to the nearest place to get some attention.

3. You could yell for help really loud so that someone hears you. 

T4 Rotation 3 Tent Building

Today for our Whetu survivor we had to build a tent and for our tent we got to use a tarp and a piece of rope. We also had to design it and then build it but we designed it on Tuesday after noon. For our tent we got successful because we blocked the wind and the rain from coming in and we could also fit two people in side it. What I found hard when building the tent was tying the rope really hard to the poles and I also found putting the tarp over top hard. The easiest thing for me was putting on the rocks to block the wind because all I had to do was make it tight and then put on the rocks. We all worked as a team because when one person needed help we helped them. I rate our tent 7/10 because it worked really well for us. I think we used resilience because we wanted to stop and give up but in the end we still got it.

T4 Week 5 Fantastic Favorite

This week for my Chapter Chat I did Fantastic Favorite. For my Fantastic Favorite I did a pitcher of Ghost running. I tried to make it an overflowing honey jar and I also added some detail to make it pop and stand out. 

Tent Building Reflection

What was the hardest thing? When we had to make a plan of a tent to build
because we had to think what would hold it together.

What worked well? When we were putting up the tent because we were
working as a team and we all helped each other.

What did you learn?  I learnt how to make a tent properly
because Mrs Kennedy told us what parts we got wrong so then we
fixed them.

Tent Plan

The tent we are aiming to make is a tarp and rope tent.
To make this we are going to need two trees so that we
can tie the rope to. Then we put a tarp over the top of
the rope.

To make the next tarp and rope tent we are going to tie
a rope around two trees so it makes a rope line then we are
going to put a rope through the holes and tie that to the

trees so it makes a triangle that we can fit under. We chose these tents because we thought that they were easy to  make and that they had a nice shelter.

T4 Week 5 Creation Station Pick'n'mix

This week for my Chapter Chat I did Creation Station. For my Creation Station I did a gold medal that coach Brody won in the Olympics. I tried to make an overflowing honey jar I also added heaps of things to make it pop and stand out. I put some glitter on it so that it can be shiny, For the string to put around your neck I did two colors and those colors are red and blue.

This week for my Chapter Chat I did Creation Station. For my Creation Station I did a design of a new book cover of Ghost. I tried my best to make it and over flowing honey jar and I added some color to make it pop and stand out. I also made it a little bit different so that it can pop.

Week 3 T4 Away With Words

Away With Words 

This week for my Chapter Chat I did Away With Words. I tried my best and I  tried to make it an overflowing honey jar I added heaps of detail to make it stand out. I put heaps of color on so that it could pop. 

Overhand Knot

Overhand Knot 

For my knot I did a Overhand Knot and I found it kind of hard but I still did it but the hardest thing was getting the loop. You can use a Overhand Knot for fishing and You could even use it for tying shoe lases. I rate my Overhand Knot 8/10 because I tried hard to get it right and then I eventually got it.

Alpine Butterfly Knot

For my knot I did a Alpine Butterfly Knot and I found it hard because I had to keep on going till I got it.  Then one of my friends helped me and then I got it. But I still cant do it with my eyes closed because I always muck it up. I rate my Alpine Butterfly Knot 9/10 because I found it really hard but I still got it in the end. You could put the Alpine Butterfly Knot around your waist then you could you hook a Carabiner onto the Alpine Butterfly Knot then you Could climb a Cliff. 

Figure Eight Knot

I did a Figure Eight Knot and it was kind of easy but I did still had to learn it and for my Figure Eight Knot I used a piece of rope. I can also do a Figure Eight Knot with my eyes closed and the first time I tried with my eyes closed I found it hard because you had to make sure it had and eight on it. I rate my knot 5/10 because I didn't have to work on it that much but the others I did. You could use a Figure Eight Knot for climbing harnesses when you would go climbing with you friend or yourself. 

Wednesdays Trip

Who went with you: My mum, sister and my two brothers.

Where did you go: We went to Tauranga and in Tauranga we went to this hospital to get his knee done because the banded was coming off.

Why did you go there: We went there because my brother had to get his knee done and we were in the hospital for 40 mins. 

What were you doing: We were going to get my brothers knee redressed. We also had to put on a new band aid. The reason we went there was because 3 years ago he crashed on a motor bike and broke his knee cap so we had to put screws in his knee.

Week 2 T4 Resarch

This week for my Chapter Chat I did Research. For my Research I did 8 brands of shoes and I  also write down stuff about them. I tried my best to make it and overflowing honey jar and I added some detail to make it pop and stand out. I did 16 squares all together and on 8 of them I put a picture of the brand and then on the other 8 put down stuff about them.

This year for my Calendar art I did me swimming in the ocean. Also that the sun was setting and that a dolphin jumped over my head. I added heaps of color to make it stand out and I also added some other animals like Turtles and stingrays. I added some shells and sewed so that it looks like its under water. For my background that was left over I added some water color to make it look like the sky. I added some bushes and a palm tree so that it makes it pop. I made it look like it had a beach with sand. For me I took a photo of my head then printed it and then I glued it on it the middle of the ocean so it looks like I'm swimming in the water.  

 

Week 1 T4 Digital Design CC

This week for my Chapter Chat I did Digital Design. For my Digital Design I did a business card and a taxi driver and I tried really hard to make it an over flowing honey jar.  I added heaps of detail to make it pop so that it could stand out and I also made it so that it could be two sides.  One side was a taxi driver and the other side it was a business card.

Bathurst 1000

Bathurst 1000 is an event held in Australia and There can be people from NZ and Australia compete. Bathurst 1000 is a big event and it goes on once a year. Also Bathurst 1000 is a racing Car Race and they do 161 big laps and it goes for a very long time. This year of Bathurst 1000 Scott McLaughlin Came first and it was the first time he had one and he is a young man from NZ and he was driving a Ford. In the race they had to refill the gas tanks and change there tyres so that they wouldn't run out. In the last two laps Scott was about to run out of fuel but then a car crashed so they had to slow down and then Scott didn't have to refill his gas tank because he wasn't going as fast. So then the man behind him was gutted because then he couldn't have one because Scott had enough fuel. But after the race Scott McLaughlin was happy and his team was cheering him on. That was my holiday fun and I watched it on the TV with my family.

Mine was Running Wild so I choose to do that and I added a Elephant because in Running Wild there was a Elephant in it. I also did Gorillas because there was some Gorillas that helped him and he also helped them.

This week for my Fabulous Finish I did my own design and for my design I did a box and inside my box I made 2 scenes and scene one was of Kate Barlow, Sam the onion man and Hattie Parker and for the scene Sam and Kate kiss and Hattie Parker Said god will punish you and in scene two it was of the end of when Zero and Stanley find the suit case and then the warden said give me that suit case it's mine and there were lizards all over them.

This week for my Chapter Chat. I did Creation Station and for my Creation I did a treasure box.  In the treasure box  I did a letter and fake jewelry. I did my best and I added some colour and I tried to make it an overflowing honey jar. I made the treasure box brown and I made it look old and rusty so it would stand out.

This week for my Chapter Chat I did Creation station and for Creation Station I did design a shoe and full out all there parts and label them and I hope you like it and I tried to make it an overflowing honey jar but the one thing I couldn’t do was add all the details on the shoe I just did the outline and labeled the parts.

How to survive in the bush

1. You will need warm clothes.
2. You need heaps of food & water. 
3. You will need shelter.
4.  Make sure that you have a pocket knife so that you can hunt.
5. You will need sticks, wood and rocks to make a fire.
6. Make sure that you keep yourself warm & protected.
7. Make sure that you have nice and comfy hiking shoes. 
8. You will need to make a pot to cook you food in.
9. Bring a safety kit so that when you get hurt you can bandied it.
10. You will also need a canteen to put your water .
11. You have to make sure that you have clean water .

This is my way on how to survive in the bush.

This week for my chapter chat I did book with a pop up in the middle page and in the rest of the pages I did things that Ally likes and what she has trouble with And I tried my best to make it an over flowing honey jar. I also made it colorful and shinny and I made the middle page pop out and I made it out of paper I drew people and made them pop out and it was of Ally, Albert, Shay And Mr.Daniels and they were in there class learning and I even made there desk pop out so that it makes it amazing and before the middle page on the page before that I putt a peace of string on the page and When you pull the string the middle page will pop out and then the page flips. For my logo on my book i putt a tittle on it and The tittle was Ally Nickersons school and I drew a school on the front of it and the books about Ally with her family and friends and what shes all About and I hope that you like it because I tried my best.   

Extreme Team Biking

On Friday and Thursday we did biking and we did it with a man called Paul and we had to do one handed riding and he taught us heaps of stuff and we learned left hand and right hand and we did stop signs and heaps of fun stuff.

1 I enjoyed the most of: was riding the bike and learning new things and safety rules.

2 The thing I found the most challenging was: using the other hand and going around the squire game.

3 What learning power did you use the most: I feel like I used resilience the most because I couldn't do it but now I can because I used to not be able to do it yet.

4 The thing that you felt the Most confident about was: was using one hand because I was fun and I just believed in myself.
